Reminder Hours Check

The SCNX modmail-bot’s ticket reminders currently don’t respect set opening hours. This causes reminders to be sent outside of support hours, which isn’t ideal.

  1. Solution:

Have the reminder system check if it’s within the configured opening hours before sending a reminder.

  1. Benefit:
  • No reminders outside support hours
  • Less noise for the team
  • More efficient use of reminders
  1. Optional:

Add a setting to choose whether reminders should be sent outside opening hours or not.

Hier nochmal meine Anmerkungen:

  • Öffnungszeiten überprüfen finde ich gut
  • Wenn Öffnungszeiten starten und noch Ticket offen sind vielleicht die Option das entweder in die Tickets oder nur in einen z.B. Team Channel ein Reminder gesendet wird das wieder offen ist mit Anzahl der Tickets.

Just a small update on this: This has been planned for V3, but our current system is not really set up to calculate the next opening block; that’s why this hasn’t been implemented yet. It’s still on our radar for V3.

Thanks for your patience on this! We have implemented this in the next version of Modmail V3 :tada:

As an FYI, for this to work correctly, you need to be open at least one hour continuously during the week, and reminders will not be sent directly when the bot opens (to avoid spam), but in the next open hour based on the original event anchor date.
